Hiltons Fourth Worldwide Property in Chennai

Indian Overseas Bank Chairman and Managing Director, Mr M Narendra inaugurated the five star Chennai Hotels, Hilton Chennai.
Empee Group Chairman, Mr Purushothaman, said that this hotel was their first property in the city, which would be managed and operated by Hilton. The Hilton Chennai has 204 rooms and India is built on 42 grounds of land.
He also told that the group has invested Rs 400 Crore in the project with 150 more rooms that will be added in the next phase. Moreover, the expansion would be completed in another three years as informed by Mrs. Nisha Purushothaman, Managing Director of Empee Group.
Apart from this, the firm has also taken up a three-star 150 room hotel project at an investment of Rs 150 crore replacing the “Grand Orient” restaurant on the arterial Anna Salai and is planning to construct 1,350 residential apartments in Kuthambakkam on the city outskirts collaborating with real estate.
She adds further. “We have good land bank about 13 acres in Kuthambakkam and another 20 acres in Sriperumbudur. In Bangalore, we have about five acres in Whitefield. We are looking for residential properties which will also have a restaurant”.
