With increasing stress on ‘looking good’ in today’s fast-paced society, the demand for hand and body care products worldwide is on the rise. Markets of the Middle East, with their high spending on beauty products, are expected to reflect this trend according to Epoc Messe Frankfurt, organiser of Beautyworld Middle East, the largest international trade fair for beauty products, hair, fragrances and well being in the Middle East.
Recent market research indicates that the global market for hand and body care products is expected to be worth US$16.6 billion by 2013 – an increase of nearly 20 per cent since 2008. A large part of this growth is driven by the emerging markets of the Asia-Pacific region, which account for 37.7 per cent of the global total – a figure that is set to increase as prosperity improves and populations surge in these countries.*

“For well over a decade Beautyworld Middle East has been the platform of choice for international manufacturers and suppliers to engage with, and unlock, the potential of this very promising market,” said Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “Leading manufacturers of hand and body care products from around the world will present their range of products and innovations at this year’s event, which will be an indicator of the trends that are currently impacting the industry,” he added.

One of the prominent exhibitors at Beautyworld Middle East covering the hand and body care segment is OPI, who will be rolling out their latest hand and nail care range at the event. “We consider participa-tion at Beautyworld Middle East as a vital part of our overall marketing strategy for the region. With its unmatched industry-wide reach this focused trade exhibition is the ideal launch platform for our cross-region development plans,” said Mr. Christian Lacheny, Vice-President, International Sales, OPI.

Manwel Yehya, Marketing Manager, Momentum Beauty Products, said: “Momentum Beauty Products (MBP) is delighted to be part of the premier event for the beauty and wellness in the Middle East. During the trade exhibition, MBP will launch its’ new brand for Waxing, Paraffin (FloraWax & TheraBath) and Temporary Tattoo (Glitter Tatttoo), along with a live demonstration of the 12 new exciting colors of Shellac, the only Hybrid Nail Color from Creative Nail Design (CND).”

He added: “We are very much looking forward to the upcoming trade exhibition in May to meet profes-sional minded business associates, keeping them updated with the latest market trends in the world of Hand & Foot Beauty.”

Other exhibitors that will showcase a wide range of products in the hand and body care category include Al Fajer Cosmetics, AVA Cosmetic Laboratory, Actual and Dr. Kathzinger Health, to name a few.

Beautyworld Middle East will run from May 24th to 26th at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibi-tion Centre. The event is the premier networking and sourcing platform for beauty products, hair, fra-grances and well being in the region. The 2011 edition will feature a wide range of international brands, innovations, developments and trends in the industry and will attract leading buyers, retailers, distributors and beauty industry professionals.
