Guests included Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert DeNiro, model Bar Rafaeli, Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Rob Lowe, Heather Graham, Blake Lively, former British Prime Minister John Major, tennis star Boris Becker, director Pedro Almodovar, Famke Janssen, Italian politician Mara Carfagna, director Michel Hazanavucius, socialite Imogen Lloyd Webber, and French Minister of Culture Frederic Mitterand.
The eclectic guest list came as no surprise to friends of Ben Mathis who is well known as both a Hollywood film producer and Washington power player. Based at Universal Studios in Hollywood, Mathis previously worked on such films as CHICAGO, THE BUCKET LIST, HAIRSPRAY, and INSOMNIA, and he will start preproduction on the much anticipated film THE RISE OF THEODORE ROOSEVELT next year. Mathis also heads up Mathis Political, a campaign media firm that helped elect such GOP heavy-weights as Senator Rand Paul, Senator Pat Toomey, and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in the last election.
