by Richard Franzi Wednesday, November 30, 2011
“We are hearing a great deal, in this environment, about job creators and what can be done to help them hire more employees and lower unemployment.”, stated Critical Mass for Business Co-Owner Richard Franzi. “Members of our business community are the firm’s politicians refer to when they use the term job creators. Our members run businesses between $2 million and $100 million in annual revenue. We asked our members directly to tell us what was the single biggest reason preventing them from doing more hiring”.
As Co-Owner Doug Gfeller (a Master Certified Coach for Business) added, “Having worked with our members now for up to 6 six years, it has been my experience that our community is a true reflection of the larger Orange County business community. Each month, Ric and I have the opportunity to witness their willingness to share with one another in our CEO Peer Groups and collectively help everyone make better decisions”.
The results of the survey show that fully 50% chose: lack of sustainable demand as the single biggest reason preventing them from hiring new or re-hiring employees.
The second choice was: possibility of entering a second recession with 20% selecting that option.
The final 30% of the responses were divided between: uncertainty about future tax law changes, government regulations and other.
