Alex Hinojosa named Deputy Managing Director ofthe North American Development Bankby Martin Barillas Tuesday, January 04, 2011
With more than 29 years of senior level management experience, Alex Hinojosa has extensive expertise in both the investment banking and utility industries. As an investment banker, he helped establish the public funds investment banking function for Cabrera Capital Markets, LLC and Frost Bank. His work included financing projects with state and local governments throughout Texas, New Mexico, California, and Florida. Most recently, Mr. Hinojosa held the position of Director for J. Stowe & Co. where he helped public and investor-owned utilities with financial planning and organizational strengthening efforts. In addition, Mr. Hinojosa served in leadership capacities at the San Antonio Water System from 1983-2004, including that of Chief Financial Officer. He has already brought his knowledge of utility management to NADB as an instructor in its Utility Management Institute (UMI), offering financial management training and advice to cities and utilities on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. Mr. Hinojosa is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Mary’s University.
