Avanta prepares for surge in demand for meeting rooms

“Businesses of all sizes are enjoying the benefits of using fully-equipped meeting rooms, which can be rented by the hour, half day or full day at all of our venues” comments James Harrap, Avanta’s central reservations manager. “And with prices starting from just £19 per room, per hour, in central London, using an Avanta meeting room can be considerably more cost-effective for companies than having a dedicated meeting room in their own office, which probably sits empty for most of the time.
“In 2010 we had almost 16,000 bookings across our 18 locations, a rise of 7.5% from the previous year, with the most frequent users being training companies and those working in the technology, healthcare and consulting sectors.
“The most popular locations were our buildings on Victoria Street SW1 and Lyric Square, Hammersmith W6, with a total of 4,202 meeting room bookings between them. We currently have 90 different sized modern and stylish meeting rooms available, ranging from 2 -150 people capacity and all benefit from free Wi-Fi as standard. We also offer comprehensive video conferencing facilities in all our business centres. In addition, most rooms are equipped with flip charts, plasma screens and white boards available for use at no extra charge.
“Looking ahead, there is great potential for growth, particularly with Vanilla, our stunning events venue in London’s West End. In addition, we’re constantly updating and improving our website and have expanded our dedicated meeting room sales team to handle the larger volume of enquiries we’re receiving.”
