Rare Frohog hits eBay auction block to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

TEMECULA, Calif. – Someone would pay $100 or $200 for a stuffed animal?

When it comes to the very first Frohog ever made and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the potential is unbelievable.

Frohog (pronounced frō-hôg’) is the one of the 11 characters in the inaugural Nuttipetz collection to be revealed to the world by his creator, Luvmpetz International, LLC, on Sunday at the American International Toy Fair in New York City.

Frohog is an utterly unique plush animal friend that is one part feisty frog and one part happy little hog.

The first Frohog created is being auctioned on eBay this week in an effort to raise money and awareness for St. Jude, which is a nonprofit children’s research hospital that finds cures for children with catastrophic illnesses. Through generous support, St. Jude is able to help these children regardless of their families’ ability to pay for medical treatment.

As of midnight Wednesday, with 41 bids already posted, the top bid was $127.50. The auction will end at 1 a.m. (PST) on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011.

One hundred percent of the final winning bid will be donated to St. Jude, and the winning bidder will walk away with the No. 1 authenticated Frohog, but more importantly, the amazing feeling that comes with knowing that he or she made a purchase that’s going to help children and their families in a time of dire need.
