This will be an enormous boost to the economy and to Bahamas real estate prices throughout the area, says Heather Carey, a sales agent with Island Living Real Estate, a Bahamas realty company.
Once the construction project begins, it will be completed in multiple phases, with the first phase being 20 slips, according to an article about the development published recently in The Eleutheran.
Members of Manhattan & Island Development Corp.- the project developer- have indicated that the marina will attract as many as 240 people at a time, who will spend upwards of $6,000 per day in the community on foods and beverages, tours and activities, lodging, laundry services and vehicle rentals, to name some examples.
"All of these things have a direct impact on a community and as time passes, make it a more desirable community in which to live," says Rachel Pinder, principle broker of Island Living, an agency that lists Bahamas homes for sale and also offers Nassau, Bahamas rental properties. "I firmly believe that upon completion of that marina, property owners will see an increase in property values and will see more people looking to invest in Bahamas real estate for sale will begin considering this area."
Carey says that because of that, the time is now for those in search of Bahamas property for leisure and investment purposes to consider Governor's Harbour and surrounding communities.
