Singapore is an equal opportunity provider. It focuses on the talents and professional qualifications as the basis for bestowing entry into its premises.

For foreign individuals seeking for employment opportunities in Singapore, the employing companies are responsible for applying for the corresponding labor pass. These companies in turn find it convenient to engage the professional services of qualifying firms.

Meanwhile, foreign investors are directed by laws to hire professional firms in assisting them in all their business needs.

Asiabiz Services has been established specifically to commit its expertise to aiding companies in all their needs including processing of labor pass applications.

“There are three common types of work visas issued by the Ministry of Manpower,” says one of its business consultants, “each pass has its own eligibility requirements prepared.”

Depending on the qualifications, the labor passes can be S pass, Employment pass, or Entrepreneur pass.

“The Employment pass is exclusive for foreign professionals either as an investor or an employment seeker. It is further divided into a Q1, P1, and P2 passes depending on the amount of monthly salary offered by the company in Singapore,” remarks Asiabiz.

It adds: “A Q1 pass is issued for a monthly salary of not below S$2,800, while P2 is for those who earn S$4,000, and P1 is for those who receive S$8,000.”

Being an exclusive work visa for professional, among its qualifications is the attainment of a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable tertiary level of educational institution.

Moving on, for investors that have not completed university or college education but exhibit impressive entrepreneurial skills, the Entrepreneur pass is suitable.

Asiabiz continues: “The Entrepreneur pass is exclusive for investors. Holders of this type of visa cannot seek employment except within his or her own company as a resident director.”

The requirements of an Entrepreneur pass may be astounding such as the capital investment, entrepreneurial skills, and business proposal.

“The minimum capital investment is S$50,000 as the Minister is very particular about the financial capacity of the investor to hire locals as part of his or her employees. There is also Total Business Spending yearly,” explains Asiabiz.

As for the business proposal, Asiabiz continues: “The 10-page business proposal should outline the commercial activities, marketing strategies, products and services offered, and business goals.”

As a creator of business solutions, Asiabiz provides assistance in preparing for the business proposal, which is expected to be feasible and entrepreneurial in nature.

Moving on, a Specialist pass is issued to professionals who cannot meet the salary requirements of a Q1 pass holder or any other qualifying requirement. Its holder should receive a minimum of S$2,000 monthly salary.
