In the Ease of Doing Business 2011 survey initiated by the International Finance Corporation, Singapore bested 118 other economies in benchmarks such as taxation, valuing employees, company registration procedure, and trading across borders.

According to the laws in Singapore foreign investors and companies should hire a professional firm to help them get started in doing business. This only spells convenience on the part of the investors and security on the part of Singapore and investors too.

Asiabiz has been established to provide business solutions and processes to companies, particularly foreign.

As a service provider, it creates business packages with features suitable to varying needs of businessmen.

“Investors can start a business in Singapore and have the options of relocation or staying offshore,” says a business consultant of Asiabiz, referring to obtaining an Entrepreneur pass or engaging a nominee director service.

Businessmen who have not completed their tertiary education are not barred from investing in Singapore. The Entrepreneur pass company setup is designed exactly for this.

“We assist investors in all requirements necessary for an Entrepreneur pass. This includes preparing a curriculum vitae, and 10-page business proposal. The investor should also prepare a minimum capital worth S$50,000,” explains Asiabiz.

Once the Entrepreneur pass is obtained, the Singapore company incorporation may now begin. There needs to be someone to become the company secretary and a shareholder, while the Entrepreneur can qualify the holder to be the resident director.

“A shareholder can be an individual or another corporate entity. In some circumstances, a shareholder or an investor may wish for anonymity, in which case, they opt for a nominee shareholder service that we offer,” Asiabiz continues to say.

In a nominee shareholder service, the nominee shareholder holds stocks in trust in behalf of the beneficial investor. It can be revoked at any time.

Moving on, in a company setup that allows the investor to stay offshore, the nominee director service is called for.

“In a nominee director service, our nominee director shall furnish the requirement necessary for incorporation. This means that it is the nominee director’s name and address that shall be included in the Memorandum and Articles of Association,” says Asiabiz.

However, by being a nominee director, the investor incognito may still hold the executive corporate powers and perform the obligations as the director. He may stay in Singapore on a long-term visit pass if required or just use his passport.

Asiabiz offers other solutions such as accounting services and virtual office.
