DUBAI – Rapid advances in technology and the increasing availability of laser cutting machinery that can be adapted to varying needs, has fuelled a boom in global demand for these products. According to market
research by Global Industry Analysts, demand for laser cutting machinery is expected to reach US$13.8
billion by 2015, propelling manufacturers to increase production.*

In a related development, the growth in environmental consciousness has led to an increase in demand for green building standards to be applied in the woodworking sector. According to industry experts there is a growing demand for the use of certified, sustainably produced wood products in the construction industry. Woodworking technologies are also evolving with the increasing use of computer-aided design and laser cutting technologies that save on energy and costs.**

“With woodworking, welding and laser cutting machinery becoming increasingly versatile and adapting to the changing needs of the market, we expect to see more and more people opting for these methods to meet their cutting and designing needs,” said Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer of Epoc Messe Frankfurt, organiser of Hardware+Tools Middle East, which will feature a range of laser cutting machinery and
technology and a wide range of woodworking machinery and tools.

“As manufacturers respond to the greater demand and the evolving realities of the market, the supply of
sustainable wood products will become increasingly common. Energy-efficient woodworking tools and laser
cutters have become more affordable and now come in a variety of specifications,” Pauwels added.
”Hardware+Tools Middle East will showcase the latest trends and developments in woodworking machinery, welding and laser cutting tools to designers, manufacturers, architects, construction professionals, engineers and other trade visitors from the wider Middle East region,” he added.

Among those exhibiting the latest woodworking machinery and techniques during Hardware+Tools Middle East are Arwani Trading Co. LLC, Golden Tools Trading LLC and GAAM International Group FZE.

Mr. Hani Arwani, Sales Manager, Arwani Trading LLC, said: “This is a sector which is continually expanding and developing around the world and through events such as Hardware+Tools Middle East, we aim to
develop the sector within this region, keeping abreast of global standards. At the event we will display our range of welding and other products as well as promote best safety practices within the industry.”

Hardware+Tools Middle East 2011, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 10th to 12th, is the largest and most representative trade platform for the materials,
machinery, hardware and tools industry in the wider Middle East region. The event will bring together
